Netero's arms surpassed the speed of sound like 60+ years before the series and at least in that aspect he'd clearly not got weaker, he would have got quite a bit above sound and pre-boost Meruem was only slightly slower than that. Doubt it, energy attacks barely ever hit even characters in DB who can't sense could dodge them most of the time, Meruem can sense them and the obvious energy build up and again his flight agility would make him way too hard to hit. How so? Nobody in DB was dishing out punches that were making massive shockwaves or anything yet they all get hurt by them. I doubt any of them would be able to take the amount of hits from Netero that Meruem did. On top of his physical strength they'd be pretty screwed if he used Gyo or Ko to further enhance his punch and bore right in to their flesh. Not to mention he has his tail which he could use if necessary. Netero's entire sequence was faster than sound, and that was probably before he learned Nen. It was stated he was the strongest 50 years before the series, but that happened 60 years before the series. There's a 10 year gap, so yeah. He was quite a bit slower. Pitou wasn't capable of seeing Netero's sequence at all. It was like as if time stopped. To do that, you must be at least twenty times faster than your opponent. Pitou was pretty much in the high hypersonic range, so Netero is like massively hypersonic range. They can sense energy attacks in Dragon Ball. Also, as I stated, Piccolo's blast crossed most of the island which was close to a small continent in size, in a single panel. Goku dodged it mid-air. That's when they were pretty tired from the fight too. That's most likely going to hit pre-Rose Meruem. I think Post-Rose Meruem can dodge it if he dissipated into photons. That way, they won't get him, but he has no way to hurt them. :/ Goku was capable of moving boulders that weighed thousands of tons before the 21st TB. He was able to casually jump multiple kilometers in the air in the 21st TB. Also durability is universal in DB whether its physical attacks or energy attacks. Again, that's Nen. Meruem won't hurt s***.
